With coaching in his blood, Pat has been teaching surfing full-time since the summer of 1995, sharing the knowledge accumulated through countless hours in the ocean. What some people might construe as a youthful outlet was actually career preparation!

Pat’s reluctant two years away from the ocean was well-spent earning a BA in Political Science w/honors at the University of Florida where he became a rabid lifelong fan of the Gators. Is there any other kind? Pat has guided numerous tours to Costa Rica, Baja, Mexico, and the British Virgin Islands. His pride and joy, SDSA Surf Camp, is based just north of San Diego, California, at South Carlsbad State Beach (pictured) and open year-round.
